With a love for adventure and an interest in all things magical, Abigail is one of the most fun and enchanting characters in Stardew Valley. Plus, she's one of the six bachelorettes players can choose to marry in the game. This guide will introduce everything you need to know about Abigail, from what gifts to give here to where she can usually be found hanging out!

Abigail Basics

Abigail is the daughter of Pierre and Caroline, although a long-running fan theory suggests that the Wizard might be her real father. She lives at Pierre's General Store with her parents, and is friends with Sam and Sebastian. Her birthday is Fall 13.

Abigail Schedule

Abigail is a late riser and often spends mornings in her room. In the afternoon, she can usually be found outside; her location changes by the season. She visits the Museum to read on Wednesdays, hangs out at the Stardrop Saloon with Sam and Sebastian on Fridays, and stands near the Wizard's Tower in Cindersap Forest on Sundays.

In Spring, Abigail's hangout spot on free afternoons is the bridge near Joja Mart. In Summer, she starts at the Train Tracks and then goes to the Mountain Lake. In Fall, she stands on the pier by the Beach on Mondays and the Bus Stop all other free days. In Winter, she visits Sebastian at the Carpenter's Shop.

One notable deviation is that Abigail sits in the Graveyard from 6PM to 10PM on Wednesday nights. She also occasionally plays the flute by the Mountain Lake or visits Sebastian in his bedroom (instead of the main Carpenter's Shop.) On rainy days, Abigail can be found at home or in the Stardrop Saloon.

Abigail attends all festivals. She has a checkup at Harvey's Clinic on Spring 4. She may randomly visit the Ginger Island Resort once it has opened.

Abigail Quests

Abigail is not involved in any Story Quests or plot-related Quests. She is one of the characters who can ask for items on the Help Wanted board outside of Pierre's General Store.

Abigail Gift Guide

Abigail has a bit of a sweet tooth, and strongly dislikes most fruit and vegetables. She also has an interest in adventures, so combat- and monster-themed items often make a good gift for Abigail.

In what began as a bug but was later made a feature after the line's surprising popularity, Abigail may say "This looks delicious!" even when given a Liked gift that is not a food item.

Neutral

Giving Abigail the following items will have a neutral impact on her, which means you'll only gain 20 friendship points.

These are items that Abigail doesn't like and won't react favorably to.

Hates

Giving any of these items to Abigail will result in an upset reaction.

Abigail Movie Theater

When it comes to movies, Abigail favors the horrifying and the mysterious. She Loves Mysterium and It Howls in the Rain, and Hates The Miracle at Coldstar Ranch and Zuzu City Express.

Of course, her sweet tooth persists her, and her Loved Concessions are Rock Candy and Stardrop Sorbet.

Abigail Heart Events

Like all romanceable characters, Abigail has a number of Heart Events that will trigger based on her Friendship level. Her 10-Heart event can only be seen if you are dating her, and her 14-Heart event only if you marry her.

Enter Pierre's General Store when Abigail is inside (any day except Saturday.) She will ask you to play Journey of the Prairie King with her. The mini-game is the same as the one in the Stardrop Saloon, except that you have Abigail as an assist character. Winning or losing the level has no effect on friendship.

Enter the Mountain between 12PM and 7PM on a rainy day. (This event cannot trigger in Winter, as it never rains.) Abigail will ask you what you are doing out in the rain. Answer "Enjoying the weather" to gain 50 Friendship Points with Abigail.

Enter Pelican Town between 9PM and 12AM on a non-rainy day. You will encounter Abigail in the graveyard, and she will ask you about fighting. Answer "Yes, and it's exciting" or "Yes, but only in self-defense" to gain 10 Friendship Points with Abigail.

Abigail will send you a letter in the mail. Once you have received the letter, enter Pierre's General Store between 8PM and 10PM while Abigail is inside. She shows you her spirit board, which reveals a message that she has a crush on you. The next day, she will come to the farm and apologize to you.

Abigail's 10-Heart event is available ONLY if you have given her a Bouquet and asked her to date you. It is not required to reach Perfection unless you choose her as your love interest.

Enter the Mines or Quarry Mine between 5PM and 12AM. (This event can also trigger if you are moving between individual floors of the Mine.) You will find Abigail scared in a cave. Ask "Are you okay?" and then tell her "I get scared too" to earn a total of 80 Friendship Points with Abigail.

After you have viewed this event, Abigail may randomly show up on Floor 20 of the Mines and talk about how she is beginning to explore them.

If you marry Abigail, you can trigger this event by entering the Backwoods (the wooded path just north of the Farm) between 6:10AM and 5PM. Abigail will protect you from a monster, and then tell you this is the first time she ever killed a living creature. Your response does not have any positive or negative effect on friendship. You and Abigail will then create a grave for the monster, which will remain in the Backwoods after the event.

Abigail Marriage

You can marry Abigail by giving her a Mermaid's Pendant after reaching 10 Hearts. After marriage, Abigail will move into the farmhouse. Her private room has her games and drum kit, and she sometimes plays her flute in the nook behind the farm house.

After marriage, Abigail stays home most days. On Mondays, she does rounds of the town, visiting Pierre's General Store, the Graveyard, and the Stardrop Saloon. On Fridays, she visits the Mountain Lake in the morning and meets up with Sam and Sebastian at the Stardrop Saloon in the evening.

On rainy days, Abigail can give you a gift of an item she found while exploring the Mines: Amethyst, Bat Wing, Fire Quartz, Solar Essence, or Void Essence. On non-rainy days, she can instead give you an item to help you in the Mines: Bomb, Cherry Bomb, Crab Cakes, or Fried Mushroom. Abigail will only cook on rainy nights, and can make Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Parsnip Soup, Tom Kha Soup, or Trout Soup.
