Ryobi String Trimmer Line Cut-Off Blade
★★★★★ ★★★★★ 3 ReviewsPartSelect Number PS16389742
Manufacturer Part Number 638016003
This OEM line cut-off blade trims any excess or protruding string from your trimmer during operation so that it stays at an optimal length within the guard. It is in the guard assembly at the bottom of the trimmer head near the rotating spool where the trimmer line is fed. Over time, it can become dull or worn out. Look for signs of damage such as deformation, bending, or nicks. If not replaced, the trimmer may produce uneven or messy trims and put additional stress on the spool or motor, leading to premature wear or damage. To replace the blade, locate it on the grass deflector assembly and remove its mounting screws. Please note that this blade is sold individually without hardware.

Noise and wobbles during spin cycle.
Ordered the hub repair kit. I had much difficulty removing the agitator. It was stuck. Running the strap under it and tapping on the agitator assembly should've caused it to pop up but didn't. I had to ultimately strike it hard with a metal hammer. That released it but caused a hole in the agitator. The center metal gear on the agitator was very worn and rusty. I decided to also replace the agitator. I saved about $300 on the repair. Read more...

Ryobi String Trimmer Push Cap
PartSelect Number PS9939772
Manufacturer Part Number 311153001
This depth restrictor push cap fastens the depth restrictor wheel in your edger, which serves to prevent you from setting the cutting depth of your machine too low. It acts as a safety feature that limits how deep the blade can go into the ground. Typically located near the motor housing on the bottom part of the edger, a damaged push cap may show visible deformations and cause the restrictor wheel to slip during operation. Without a functioning push cap, you risk setting the cutting depth too low, potentially damaging the edger or underground structures. To remove a damaged push cap, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off, starting at one edge and applying even pressure. Please note that this OEM replacement part does not include the depth restrictor wheel.

Ryobi String Trimmer Spark Plug
PartSelect Number PS10018287
Manufacturer Part Number 870174001
This spark plug is a genuine OEM part that is used on gas-powered lawn and garden equipment. It is a small cylindrical device in the engine cylinder head that creates the spark that ignites the fuel and air mixture inside the engine. It has a ceramic insulator, a metal rod, known as the center electrode, and a metal tab at its base, known as the ground electrode. The spark plug may fail due to a buildup of carbon, physical damage, or fouling. If it is faulty, your engine will misfire, consume more fuel, and have difficulty starting. To check that the spark plug is faulty, you can visually inspect it and use either a multimeter or a spark tester to check for electrical failure. Remove the faulty spark plug using a spark plug socket and ratchet. Use your hands to carefully thread the new spark plug into the engine. Regularly inspect and replace your spark plug as part of your general maintenance to keep your equipment in good condition.
