The beds pleasantly meet expectations, and provide comfortable, peaceful rests. They're nicely sized and not too hard on the back, legs, or shoulders. Given the rooms' budget pricing, this is an especially nice and reassuring benefit of staying here.

Monterey Oceanside Inn's location is very appealing because of its proximity to many popular hiking and biking trails that satisfy all levels of fitness and interests. The motel is perfectly situated where you can pack up gear and whether walking, cycling, or using a vehicle for part of the way, easily explore the scenic region. It's also of course near plenty of coastal activities and sites too.

When it's time to unwind, it's good to know that the TV reception is consistent, and the Wi-Fi signal remains steadily strong. Little things make a difference, and this is a positive one.

Little things can also disappoint, and the quality of the bath towels unfortunately fall into the latter category. They are thin and scratchy, and don't provide much coziness, as would be preferred after a bath or shower. Even using them just to wipe your hands or face is a bit rough, so bring your own towels and/or a moisturizing lotion if possible.

Outside and inside noise are likely to bother you, as one downfall to the hotel's location is its popularity. Should windows be closed, the thin walls still don't provide much buffering from adjacent conversations and sounds.

Despite the inn's advertisem*nt of breakfast, many guests report that it's not served. They're lucky if hot beverages are even provided. So plan for the possibility of grabbing something offsite.
